Parliamentarians Raise Funds for Te Vaerua
The match was cheered on by players from the mens and womens teams participating in the 20th Anniversary event as well as a few spectators. The game raised $1200 for Te Vaerua Rehabilitation Community Services Inc which is a non-government charity organisation that seeks to improve the quality of life for Cook Islanders with disability following accidents, illnesses or long term problems.
The Kiwis defeated their Cook Islands counterparts 10-5 and the bruises, aches and pains were later dulled by drinks and laughs at the after-match function.
