ANZ Charity Dash 4 Cash helps local charities

Roydon Campbell of Te Ara Wheke and Patricia Teaea of T&M Crushers ran for local charities in the ANZ Charity Dash 4 Cash 100m race on Thursday 05 November.  Te Ara Wheke donated their $250 to the Cook Islands Youth Council while T&M Crushers donated $250 to the Are Pa Metua.
The Charity race saw the top speedsters from each participating team square off against each other on the new synthetic track at the National Stadium with two heats needed for the mens to narrow it down to the fastest six players in the tournament. Keeping up with the tradition of last year – Te Ara Wheke’s Campbell ran in his underwear and was clearly the crowd favourite.

The charity event was a fun way to start the tournament and gave teams an opportunity to gauge the speed and agility of their opponents.
