U15 CI Schoolboys shine at the Condor 7s in AKL/NZ Friday 2/12/16

After a slow start – losing the first match “ a bit of stage fright, the boys were overawed by the occasion of this prestigious tournament” however they settled down and they improved with every Pool match. Size-wise, we were one of the smallest teams at the tournament however the boys were able to hold their own against bigger opposition.

In the Plate Semi’s the boys played and won their match 19 – 10 against Wesley College.

In their 5th match they lost the Plate Final by 5 – 15 v Sacred Heart College. It was a good match, their fitness levels severely tested, with the boys unable to capitaliise on some tryscoring opportunities. Coach Shane Napa said “I am extremely proud of the teams efforts throughout the whole tournament as they played with plenty of heart”.

Outstanding players throughout the tournament were; Faatau Pepe(centre), David Napa(prop) and Leandro Vakatini(prop)  - Faatau being selected into the U15 Condor 7s Tournament team.

The team will spend the next couple of days watching the U18 Division of the Condor 7s, and also spending time with their NZ families, before they travel home arriving back into Rarotonga on Wednesday 6/12/16.

Also thank you to all our families, sponsors and everyone that supported us, from home and also here in NZ, thank you for all your help and your wonderful messages and prayers of support.
